    The product description for Eee PC 1015PEM maintains that it comes with 500GB of ASUS webstorage. However the footnote in the same document states as follows:
    “All specifications and terms are subject to change without notice.” What does the latter imply? Does it mean that evenif I bought an ASUS 1015PEM, it still wouldn’t guarantee that I’d get the abovementioned 500 GB of storage? (To be honest, the footnote freaks me out, because if taken verbatim, it would imply that ASUS is not commited to any of the stated specifications, including the webstorage).

    1. nexus 7 is wayy better than kidlne fire.. kidlne fire lacks so many things, a camera, bluetooth, gps, even microphone.. even if you rooted and installed higher versions of android, you’d still be missing so many stuffs.. the graphics is poor, gameplay sucks, heck you can’t even skype..

  16. Hi, I purchased your 50Gb Web Storage as a solution to accessing data on the go. After establishing what I could achieve on your server and having no issues accessing directories and uploading files, I decided to add “One Time Protection” (OTP) to secure the data.

    Admittedly, one has to consider the size of files if using the sync function on any Asus Webstorage desktop device, otherwise you may exceed the disk space – particularly on devices such as tablets with often 32Gb max external SD storage.

    In any event, OTP was working fine also though it was less than obvious how to set this up without searching for a better guide than the initial link Asus provided.
    **However, for whatever reason the 6-digit security code failed to authenticate yesterday morning and I am now locked out of my web storage.**

    I endeavoured to correct this situation myself by reading your ‘Knowledgebase’ on the Asus Webstorage webpage, however the ‘delete’ OTP function in the guide is not where it is stated. For that matter, there is no delete OTP link anywhere that I could find under the “Security” tab on the webpage. (The “Security” tab also does not receive mention in the guide. Time to update the “Knowledgebase” guide??)

    I subsequently wrote to your Customer Service at asuswebstorage.com yesterday to request they delete the OTP function for me, however I am still awaiting their response.

    ** Is there anything you can do to hasten a response from your Customer Service, since I was hoping to use the online storage to access files this week on the go! **

    I have also lost a lot of valuable time attempting to right this for myself and believe you need to fast track a system where Users can self manage OTP. I state this as a System Administrator and with years of experience. I would advise other Users to not install OTP until such time Asus have made it easier to self-manage this function. I also understand the Auto Backup function does not operate with OTP installed without the User entering the Security Code each time a PC is switched on (so much for ‘Auto Backup’).

    The other matter involves Asus desktop for Android. I loaded this on to my Samsung S3 and wished to ‘trial’ instant upload after taking some pics. I had 24 other pictures in the directory and sure enough it began uploading the pictures taken with the existing 24 current. To abort upload you have to log out of the Asus Webstorage app. I thought on doing so after turning the instant upload facility ‘off’ that all future uploads would be up to me to do manually (wrong). I even scanned my phone to kill all unnecessary tasks.

    However on cold booting the phone Asus webstorage again went back on the trail of attempting to upload the remaining files! To make matters worse, I had moved some of the directories on your server not anticipating the phone would again seek to upload past files and on not finding the directory entered a loop!! I had no way of cancelling the upload function and it threatened to kill the phone’s battery time and time again. In the end I had to remove the app as the only way of cancelling the upload function.

    In short, if I have been caught this way then other Users will also no doubt have similar issues. Can Asus look into this issue and design a means of Users manually aborting uploads that have commenced the syncing operation?

    I like the functionality of the server interface however these other issues also need some attention to make Asus Webstorage a more practical option for Users.

    I hope this feedback is useful for all concerned.

  18. Did I read that correctly, that if I buy the T100 with the unlimited storage for a year free, that I get it for only $39.99 a year after that?!? I believe it was post on 2010/09/13? If that is true, that puts a huge benefit on the T100 and would make me want it even more. Unlimited storage for only $39.99 a year is a really good deal. Just out of curiosity, what’s the file size limit on the unlimited storage? I saw the limits for all except the unlimited version.

Recently I install a copy of WebStorage on my work laptop and when I logon I receive an error “ASUS WebStorage Sign In Fail(999)”. I have verified the user/password to be correct and I am able to see all of my files from “https://www.asuswebstorage.com/navigate/” Any help in identify why I cannot logon from the application would be appreciated.   24. I have transfered files to my WEBSTORAGE cloud, from my ONEDRIVE cloud, to try your service out. But they still take up space from my c: drive and now I don’t know how to select for these files to be “viewed online only” to free space from my hard drive. Please help.

      You could use ‘ My Collection ‘, then your file can be viewed online only.
      you could also select the ‘Selective Sync’ function through the PC Client and choose the folders you wish to synchronize.
      In the toolbar at the bottom right-hand corner of your desktop screen, right-click on the WebStorage icon; go to Settings, select the Sync tab at the upper left-hand corner and click Setting under Selective Sync to select the folders you wish to synchronize. Unchecked folders will no longer be synchronized on this computer. In addition, unchecked folders will be removed at the server, but the data in these folders will still be stored in your cloud space.

  25. I notice the sample music FOLDER and the Welcome to ASUS WebStorage FILE that were provided with the service, have a green dot on top of their icon, my newly uploaded files have a grey dot on top of their icons. Does this have any relation?

    1. Hi Temi, Please refer to the following steps to clarify your inquire: Step 1. Remove ASUS WebStorage APP from your PC → re-boot the PC → [install] https://www.asuswebstorage.com/navigate/downloads/ the latest version APP → re-try to login.
      Step 2.Upload/ drop the target file into MySyncFolder and wait for the process is completed.
      * To prevent sync failure, please do not set the Windows default path / hard-drive / desktop (i.g. C:\Windows, C:\Program Files(x86), C:\Users, or entire hard-drive etc.) as your sync path
      *Check small green dots on the files in the MySyncFolder. (Green dots stand for successfully uploaded to the cloud)
      *Before sync process is completed, please do not move the files out from MySyncFolder or change sync path / shut down PC or APP to prevent data disappearing.
      Step 3. Check if the file is on the cloud via [Web version] https://www.asuswebstorage.com/navigate/
      If you have followed up the above instructions, but the synced problem still cannot be solved, please provide the following info to Customer Support Team (contact@asuswebstorage.com) :
      1. LOG (right-click the WebStorage icon on the bottom toolbar→Support→Get log file)
      2. The ASUS Cloud ID you logged-in
      3. The screenshot of file info [including the name, filename, size and file location path] which you want to sync

      1. Hi Francesco! The web page needs to keep running with the internet connection when you launch the upload/download data at ASUS WebStorage.
