It is our core belief that people should be entitled to better ways of staying connected and interacting with digital data. Variation of devices and file formats should not act as obstacles between people and technology but rather as ways to make life more interesting.

With the help of Cloud technology, interactions between people and digital data have never been easier and quicker.  ASUS Cloud gives user the ability to easily access and share any file they want with whomever they want bringing human sharing closer than ever before.

Many might think with the technology as sophisticated as our Cloud service, it is only catered to people with extensive background in the field of technology. On the contrary, our focus has been and will always be to provide users with simple yet useful services, making everyday life easier and more enjoyable. We pride ourselves in our work and we hope our users will feel the same.

In the future, we hope that file formats and sizes will no longer be the limiting factors for people to interact and stay connected in the digital world.  The future that we dream of is one without distance, one without compromise.

  1. Thank you. I appreciate your offer of web storage and I look forward to becoming familiar with it. I have more than one Asus Eee and my latest is the 1000HE. May I register all of my asus or only one. Do I need to register them by serial numbers or model? Again, thanks for your generosity.

  4. Hello,

I have recently bought an Asus EEPC which came with 500GB webstorage? I have 2 questions.

    1. Is this webstorage available for unlimited time?
    2. Can I access files that I have uploaded at the webstorage through my eepc client from an internet cafe somewhere else in the world?

    1. Hi Dear,

      Thanks for activating ASUS WebStorage.
Your free 500GB webstorage service will be available for 12 months.
And all files you stored at ASUS WebStorage could be accessed everywhere via internet, you might say “Files on the move.” ^^

      Sincerely,
      ASUS WebStorage Team

  5. I bought and registered an Asus 1015 netbook with a dual core atom 550 processor. This is supposed to come with 500 gb of free web storage space, but when I attempt to create a premium account I keep getting a pop up that tells me to contact asus. How do I access the free 500 Gb of cloud storage? Who at Asus do I contact about this? The web storage software is pre-installed on the netbook. Thanks.

  6. Hi,

The product description for Eee PC 1015PEM maintains that it comes with 500GB of ASUS webstorage. However the footnote in the same document states as follows:
“All specifications and terms are subject to change without notice.” What does the latter imply? Does it mean that evenif I bought an ASUS 1015PEM, it still wouldn’t guarantee that I’d get the abovementioned 500 GB of storage? (To be honest, the footnote freaks me out, because if taken verbatim, it would imply that ASUS is not commited to any of the stated specifications, including the webstorage).

    1. Hi Dear user,
      Thanks for your question.

Once you activate ASUS WebStorage service on your Eee PC 1015PEM, you will have the right to use 500GB free space for 1 year.
You may email to our Contact Service when you have any questions about ASUS WebStorage in the future days.

      1. I am afraid but Asus customer service tells me otherwise. Asus gives no guarantee for 500 Gb of webstorage upon purchasing a 1015PEM, nor of any correspondence between an eeePC and its specifications.

When asked why my 1015PEM didn’t support 500 Gb of webstorage, the answer I received from Asus customer service reads as follows:

        “It also says:
        – All specifications and terms are subject to change without notice. Please check
with your supplier for exact offers on selected models. Products may not be available
        in all markets.
        – Product may not be exactly as shown in images”

The name of your representative is Nils and the case ID is RWTM201103082214502439-561, you can check it for yourself.

    2. Ian, if it is the latest 270 beta rleease, they try rolling back to an older version, this one apparently has some issues that need to be resolved (a lot of people are complaining of having different trouble with different products), so just wait for the final WHQL driver from the R270 branch. +22Was this answer helpful?

  12. Hi, I have an asus webstorgae free account (unlimited) installed in my laptop and it has expired last July 28, 2012. I just bought an upgrade of 500 GB storage for one year. Will I be receiving a reactivation code? How long will it take to have my account reactivated?

  13. Hi, I am using a free (unlimited) asus webstorage account which expired last July 28, 2012. I just bought an upgrade for a 500 GB storage for one year. I just wanted to know if I will be receiving a reactivation code for my account and how long will it take to reactivate said account. Thanks.

      1. Thank you, it has now been activated. It appears that it takes sometime to process the purchase. It would be good though if there was some acknowledgement by asus web storage on the purchase and an advise on what or how long it would take to process the order.

    1. nexus 7 is wayy better than kidlne fire.. kidlne fire lacks so many things, a camera, bluetooth, gps, even microphone.. even if you rooted and installed higher versions of android, you’d still be missing so many stuffs.. the graphics is poor, gameplay sucks, heck you can’t even skype..

  16. Hi, I purchased your 50Gb Web Storage as a solution to accessing data on the go. After establishing what I could achieve on your server and having no issues accessing directories and uploading files, I decided to add “One Time Protection” (OTP) to secure the data.

Admittedly, one has to consider the size of files if using the sync function on any Asus Webstorage desktop device, otherwise you may exceed the disk space – particularly on devices such as tablets with often 32Gb max external SD storage.

In any event, OTP was working fine also though it was less than obvious how to set this up without searching for a better guide than the initial link Asus provided.
**However, for whatever reason the 6-digit security code failed to authenticate yesterday morning and I am now locked out of my web storage.**

I endeavoured to correct this situation myself by reading your ‘Knowledgebase’ on the Asus Webstorage webpage, however the ‘delete’ OTP function in the guide is not where it is stated. For that matter, there is no delete OTP link anywhere that I could find under the “Security” tab on the webpage. (The “Security” tab also does not receive mention in the guide. Time to update the “Knowledgebase” guide??)

I subsequently wrote to your Customer Service at asuswebstorage.com yesterday to request they delete the OTP function for me, however I am still awaiting their response.

** Is there anything you can do to hasten a response from your Customer Service, since I was hoping to use the online storage to access files this week on the go! **

I have also lost a lot of valuable time attempting to right this for myself and believe you need to fast track a system where Users can self manage OTP. I state this as a System Administrator and with years of experience. I would advise other Users to not install OTP until such time Asus have made it easier to self-manage this function. I also understand the Auto Backup function does not operate with OTP installed without the User entering the Security Code each time a PC is switched on (so much for ‘Auto Backup’).

The other matter involves Asus desktop for Android. I loaded this on to my Samsung S3 and wished to ‘trial’ instant upload after taking some pics. I had 24 other pictures in the directory and sure enough it began uploading the pictures taken with the existing 24 current. To abort upload you have to log out of the Asus Webstorage app. I thought on doing so after turning the instant upload facility ‘off’ that all future uploads would be up to me to do manually (wrong). I even scanned my phone to kill all unnecessary tasks.

However on cold booting the phone Asus webstorage again went back on the trail of attempting to upload the remaining files! To make matters worse, I had moved some of the directories on your server not anticipating the phone would again seek to upload past files and on not finding the directory entered a loop!! I had no way of cancelling the upload function and it threatened to kill the phone’s battery time and time again. In the end I had to remove the app as the only way of cancelling the upload function.

In short, if I have been caught this way then other Users will also no doubt have similar issues. Can Asus look into this issue and design a means of Users manually aborting uploads that have commenced the syncing operation?

I like the functionality of the server interface however these other issues also need some attention to make Asus Webstorage a more practical option for Users.

I hope this feedback is useful for all concerned.
    Cheers, Tim

  17. I enjoy, lead to I discovered exactly what I used to be taking a look for.
You have ended my 4 day lengthy hunt! God
Bless you man. Have a great day. Bye

  18. Did I read that correctly, that if I buy the T100 with the unlimited storage for a year free, that I get it for only $39.99 a year after that?!? I believe it was post on 2010/09/13? If that is true, that puts a huge benefit on the T100 and would make me want it even more. Unlimited storage for only $39.99 a year is a really good deal. Just out of curiosity, what’s the file size limit on the unlimited storage? I saw the limits for all except the unlimited version.

    1. Hello, NintendoWiiboy

Thanks for considering our storage service.
We gladly offered our user a bundle promotion to buy the T100 with the unlimited storage for a year free.
If you want to renew your account after that, we offer two plan for you to purchase: 500GB or 50GB.
Unlimited storage plan for renew account is no longer available, We feel sorry about that.
And File size limit on the unlimited storage is the same with webstorage Basic account, you could check here for further information: https://service.asuswebstorage.com/store/?vc=

  19. Hi reader
I llive in Iran and I can’t register “Asus webstorsge”.should I register with my gmail Id or should make new email.

  20. Hi, I have had WebStorage on my home PC for the last couple of years and use it all the time for files. Recently I install a copy of WebStorage on my work laptop and when I logon I receive an error “ASUS WebStorage Sign In Fail(999)”. I have verified the user/password to be correct and I am able to see all of my files from “https://www.asuswebstorage.com/navigate/” Any help in identify why I cannot logon from the application would be appreciated. Thanks.

  21. Several attempts of creating an asus id through the nagscreen asking me for quite a lot of personal information to register and get warranty for my T100T failed: page not found after waiting, so I finally used the website instead. The webstorage system icon popup was advertizing 1000gb of free space, but I get the default five?

  22. Hi, so my Asus computer is stuck on the page where i login. It doesn’t even give me the chance to put in a password. It says locked. It also has-by the side- ‘Could not shutdown because of this app’ Now i cant use my computer. PLease help/

  23. Hello,

    I recently bought a T100.

On opening the Asus Webstorage application I cannot seem to access the Control Panel. I have a tiled screen with the following options,

    My Syncfolder
    Backed-up Data
    My Collection
    Starred
    Recent Changes
    Collaboration Folder
    Collected Shared Links

But no obvious Control Panel. Can you please advise?

    Thanks and regards

  24. I have transfered files to my WEBSTORAGE cloud, from my ONEDRIVE cloud, to try your service out. But they still take up space from my c: drive and now I don’t know how to select for these files to be “viewed online only” to free space from my hard drive. Please help.

    1. Dear Richard George :
You could use ‘ My Collection ‘, then your file can be viewed online only.
you could also select the ‘Selective Sync’ function through the PC Client and choose the folders you wish to synchronize.
In the toolbar at the bottom right-hand corner of your desktop screen, right-click on the WebStorage icon; go to Settings, select the Sync tab at the upper left-hand corner and click Setting under Selective Sync to select the folders you wish to synchronize. Unchecked folders will no longer be synchronized on this computer. In addition, unchecked folders will be removed at the server, but the data in these folders will still be stored in your cloud space.

      1. Thank you very much, I will write if I run into any more jams.
For now I can say I have succesfully synced all but one of the folders. I am just waiting for it to be appropriately uploaded to your server before syncing.

  25. I notice the sample music FOLDER and the Welcome to ASUS WebStorage FILE that were provided with the service, have a green dot on top of their icon, my newly uploaded files have a grey dot on top of their icons. Does this have any relation?

    1. Dear Richard George :

Green dot means upload successful, and grey dot means upload failed.
Maybe internet connection and site errors caused the file upload failed.
Our suggestion is reopen the ASUS WebStorage website and upload your file again.
      Thank you!

  26. I want to ask about my account. Before this I already have an account and stored picture in it. However my phone got format and i have to re-install all the things back. But when i try to open it again,i couldn’t find my old account and it asking me to sign in again.then, the account that I have signed in is empty.what should I do to get it back.
